The Parsons Racing team kicked off 2019 with a rough start. A gearbox issue prevented driver Cameron Parsons from qualifying and taking the green flag at the Trans Am West Coast Championship season opener at Thunderhill Raceway. Then in round two at Auto Club Speedway, the team faced more woes with electrical problems that ultimately led to a failing alternator. After missing the qualifying session, Parsons would start the race from the very back of the field in 10th place.
